Branding the handoff page

Branding makes the handoff page recognisably yours (or your client’s), so a subject trusts it. The page ships a considered default theme; your branding replaces the defaults while every trust cue and the layout stay identical. For: Admins and Owners.

  • Logo — shown at the top of the handoff page and in emails. PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 2 MB and 4000×4000 pixels, or SVG up to 512 KB.
  • Page background — a photo or pattern behind the handoff page, shown dimmed so the page stays easy to read. PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 3 MB and 4000×4000 pixels. Recipients see it once your organisation is identified: on a paid plan, or once you’ve verified your domain under Settings → Verification.
  • Accent colour — your brand colour for buttons and links, set separately for light and dark mode. It must reach a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against the page card in both modes, or the default is used.
  • Name — always your organisation’s name, or the client’s name in MSP mode, so nobody can make a page look like it’s from someone else. Rename a client under Clients; to change your organisation’s name, email support@safehanded.com.

SafeHanded removes hidden photo details, such as the location a picture was taken, from every logo and background you upload.

  • Support contacts — real phone/email shown in the “verify this request” panel, so users can reach a human before typing anything.
  • Page copy (where available) — a title and instructions block tailored to the client.

Set these under Settings → Branding. In MSP mode branding is per client: open Clients and choose Branding next to the client.

Members can add a photo and a phone extension (their own, or set by an Owner/Admin). The handoff page then shows the requester’s face, role and extension, and lists the named recipients — the people who can decrypt — so the subject can recognise and reach a real person. A member without a photo shows an initials disc.

Emails to the people you ask for a credential or send a secret to — the request link, share links and their one-time codes — carry your branding: your logo (on a white tile, so it shows in dark mode), your accent colour on the button and along the top, your name, and your support contacts. A small footer says the message was sent securely with SafeHanded on your behalf.

Emails to your own team — sign-in links, invitations, alerts that a credential was submitted or a ticket closed, integration and billing notices — always look like SafeHanded, so your technicians recognise them whichever client they’re about.

Until your account has a paid plan or a verified domain, emails to recipients use a neutral account name and no logo. To send from your own address rather than SafeHanded’s, connect your mailbox under Integrations or verify a sender domain.

Pair branding with a custom domain so the page lives on an address your users recognise (e.g. secure.yourcompany.com) and matches your email footers. Training can then say “only ever type your password on this address”.

The branding screen previews the real recipient page at your chosen settings, so you can see exactly what a subject will see before you save.
