For your users

This is a plain-language page you can share with your users or lift into your own onboarding material, so they know what to expect the first time IT asks for a credential through SafeHanded. For: Admins to share.

Sometimes IT genuinely needs a password they can’t reset for you — to migrate your mailbox, set up a device, or fix something a reset would break. When that happens, you’ll get a secure link instead of being asked to send the password by email or chat.

  • A link that opens a page showing your IT team’s name and logo, and who’s asking.
  • The page may ask you for a code the technician reads to you, or one emailed (or texted) to you, before it lets you type anything.
  • You type the password there. It’s encrypted on your own device before it’s sent — only the technicians named on the request can read it, not SafeHanded.
  • It’s destroyed once the job’s done.
  1. Only ever type your password on the address you expect — safehanded.com, or your IT team’s own address if they’ve set one up (for example secure.yourcompany.com). Never type your password anywhere else.
  2. Not sure a link is real? Type safehanded.com/check into your browser and paste the link before opening it — it’ll tell you whether it’s genuine and who sent it. See Checking a link.
  3. Confirm it’s really us. If you weren’t expecting IT to contact you, check through a channel you already trust before acting.

Admins: pair this with a custom domain and branding so the address and page are recognisably yours.
