Clients (MSP mode)
If you’re an MSP, clients let you run each end-customer company separately under one organisation — its own branding, contacts, domain and directory connection. For: MSP Admins and Owners.
What a client gives you
Section titled “What a client gives you”- Its own branding and support contacts on the handoff page, so users see their IT company.
- Its own custom domain (e.g.
secure.example.com) — see Custom domains. - Its own directory or PSA contacts for subject autocomplete.
- Scoping — technicians can be limited to the clients they work with.
Setting up clients
Section titled “Setting up clients”- Import from your PSA — connect your helpdesk/PSA and import its companies as clients (a mapping table you can re-sync), or add clients manually.
- Brand each client — logo, colours, support contacts. See Branding.
- Add a custom domain (optional) per client.
- Connect the client’s directory (optional) — for Microsoft Entra, choose the client under Scope and select Connect with Microsoft as the client’s administrator — to enable subject search for that client. See Microsoft Entra directory.
Choosing the client on a request
Section titled “Choosing the client on a request”Technicians pick the client when creating a request (it starts on the client currently selected in the client switcher at the top of the app). The client determines the branding, domain, directory and any client-scoped presets.
Who counts as a client
Section titled “Who counts as a client”A client is an organisation you provide managed IT services to, such as support, monitoring or administration of its systems (Customer Terms 3.5). SafeHanded can be part of what you sell them:
- Fine: your technicians using it for your clients; a client’s own staff (an office manager, or their in-house IT person) using it for that client; charging for it in your fees or as a separate line on your invoice.
- Needs a partner agreement: a company that gets nothing else from you paying you just for SafeHanded. Ask us at sales@safehanded.com and we’ll set one up.
The MSP plan includes up to 500 active clients (limits).
